Logistics Controller

We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Controller to join our team in Hixon, Stafford. The role would suit someone with previous logistics experience, who is able to work in a busy fast paced environment.

The team you’ll be working in
Working within the Logistics team, and you will be responsible for the efficient and effective day to day control of goods in, which includes locating all incoming goods within current locations and correct dispatch of subcontract parts.
What you’ll be doing
So that you can get a feel for the job, here is what you will be doing day to day:
· Receiving of incoming goods
· Maintaining goods in logs
· Responsible for the accuracy of incoming deliveries
· Ensuring incoming stock is correctly identified and located in a timely manner
· Identify material / parts shortages for subcontract items
· Control of material movements within warehouse
· Dispatch of goods to subcontract suppliers
· Raising documentation for dispatch of goods to subcontract suppliers
· Identification and dispatch of finished goods and spare parts
· Stock checking
· Housekeeping duties
· You may be required to perform such other and/or additional duties within your skill and competence as the business may require.
What you’ll need to succeed
Need to know
· Understanding of goods in/stores within a manufacturing environment
· Understanding of subcontract supply
· Knowledge of 5S practices
· Good understanding of workplace safety
Need to have
· Proven experience in a similar role
· Exceptional oral communication skills
· Forklift Counterbalance license required
· VNA Man Up Forklift license required
· A can-do, problem-solving approach with a clear understanding of delivering long lasting improvements
· Ability to adapt and thrive on change
· Customer centric focus, both internal and external

Hours of work are 40 hours per week – 08:00-17.00 Mon –Thu / 08:00-15:45 Fri
Salary: £20,000 - £23,000 per annum depending on experience.
Location: Hixon, Stafford (rural location)
